Demetz, Aron Vipiteno, Italy, b. 1972
Lives and works in Selva di Val Gardena, Italy
He studied at the Istituto d´Arte in Selva di Val Gardena in Italy, and at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste Nürnberg in Germany.
His work represents the human figure through different types of wood (cherry, redwood, spruce, poplar, maple) that he chooses according to their properties (color, grain, imperfections, and scars) to explore the diversity of the human body.
Demetz has presented his works in various solo and group exhibitions in Italy, like the Lavazza Museum, the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli, the Kunsthalle Eurocenter, the Fondazione Ragghianti, among others.
He has also presented his work at the Art Center Hugo Voeten, in Belgium, Center for the Arts, College of Social Science, and Koo Chen-Fu Memorial Library, Asia University Museum of Modern Art, Taichung in Taiwan as well as in various galleries in England, Italy, Germany, and Mexico.
