Lives and works in New York

She studied a MFA at the New York Academy of Art, and a BA at Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island.

Horing is interested in the narrative and psychological nature of portraiture and human experience. Her goal is to examine the person, through subjective interpretation. The subjects' material surroundings also reflect some aspect of personal desire or identity that is linked to the psychological underpinning of the portrait.

Some of her group exhibitions have been held mainly in New York, at galleries such as Space Gallery, Flowers Gallery, White Plains Performing Arts Center, Wilkinson Gallery, Kenise Barnes Fine Art; and at Aljira Center for Contemporary Art, New Jersey. She has also had exhibits at the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery, Washington, D.C, and in 2017 she had her first solo exhibition at Anna Zorina Gallery, New York.
