Klaas Rommelaere Belgium, b. 1986
Lives and works in Belgium.
He graduated from the fashion department of KASK Gent (Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Ghent). He did two internships with Danish designer Henrik Vibskov and with Raf Simons.
Rommelaere began to capture his drawings with needle, thread, wool and yarn. As the production of drawings, concepts and works became more complex and took more time, she decided to collaborate with a group of older women from her hometown (seamstresses known as "madames"), this allowed her to create works more quickly.
His great source of inspiration are films and series, although his works tend to the traditional ethnic art of his land.
