Esther Pearl Frankfurt, Germany, b. 1973
Lives and works in Los Angeles, USA.
Esther Pearl has a BFA from the Art Center College of Design, and an MFA at the California Institute of the Arts, USA. Currently, she is a professor at the Pasadena Art Center College of Design.
She grew up in various towns outside of Dallas, Texas, her father and her childhood inspire her work, depicting some scenes from everyday life such as farmland, roads, pawnshops, playgrounds, and parking lots, including a brief description in the corner of each painting and accompanied by flying saucers that illuminate the scenes.
She has presented solo exhibitions at Webb Gallery, USA, Gallery Galleberg, Norway, Gregorio Escalante Gallery, Maureen Paley, USA, among others, he has also presented her work at the University of Wisconsin and the Amon Carter Museum of American Art.
