Nacimiento, miradas en el tiempo (2019): Museo de Arte e Historia de Guanajuato

Fundación AMMA in collaboration with FORUM Cultural Guanajuato, presented the exhibition “Nacimiento, miradas en el tiempo” in the Feliciano Peña showroom in the Museo de Arte e Historia de Guanajuato.

The exhibition was presented for the seventh consecutive year and for the first time in the state of Guanajuato from November 30, 2019 to February 9, 2020 in the city of León.

Nacimiento,miradas en el tiempo, shows more than a thousand figures of painted clay in the figurative-expressionist style, which are part of 50 biblical passages from the Old and New Testaments. The scenes are represented with gestures, polychromy, verisimilitude and dynamism.

The “Nacimiento Amparo Espinosa Rugarcía” was carried out by the artisan Felipe Nieva (Orizaba, Veracruz) during the first half of the 20th century, and was accompanied in this exhibition by a contemporary sound work created by the artist Francisco Eme, as well as by a photographic installation of the characters in the collection, to complement the aesthetic experience.
